Fou furnishings ® aim is to sell only the finest organic bed, bath and table linens, using the highest quality organic cottons, for homes, hotels large and small, spas, yachts and holiday villas. Our organic bed linens are beautiful, original, and durable and are crafted using only certified cotton producers and manufacturers, sourced uniquely, sustainably and fairly; from the field to the final product. One of only a few UK linen companies certified to the most stringent standard for organic textiles, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

All our organic bed linens are also independently specified and tested for performance to hotel standards. Their original linens have been award winning three years in a row; reflecting their exceptional quality, design, comfort and craftsmanship.

Our registered 'easy fit duvet cover', used for three of the duvets, is also designed to make life easier. Instead of wasting precious moments wrestling with the entire duvet cover to get the duvet in, it is more easily inserted on top, in the corners.

In addition, all of our organic bedding designs have a storyline which you can follow, from farming, to harvesting and processing to the bed linen you buy, for which the packaging is an organic cotton, drawstring bag.

The definition of organic textiles is not legally defined as is the case in food. That is why we have selected GOTS certified cotton and applied for UK Soil Association accreditation, to ensure the integrity of our products from field to finished product.

Organic relates to a farming system which uses a holistic approach to ensure the sustainability of the soil and extends to cover the production and processing of the cotton.

Organic cotton means that the organic bed linen, organic towels and soft furnishings you are buying is from cotton which has been grown organically, without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides, and treatments or processes use only natural or biodegradable means.

Careful monitoring and testing is carried out at each stage to check the level of chemical residues in organic bed linen which reduces the risk of allergic reaction on skin contact. Four of our our organic bedding designs also have Oeko-Tex Class II certification, a guarantee of the quality and skin friendly pH value of the bed linen. Our organic bed linen sourced from India, also has Fairtrade status.

Organic cotton does not mean compromising on quality, design or paying more. Fou Furnishings luxuy organic bed linen is available in three very high thread counts to choose from, 330, 400 and our Egyptian organic cotton bedding in a very high 475 thread count. Six original designs, in crisp percales and luxuriously soft and thick lustrous sateen fabric weaves which are silky soft against your skin. In addition to thread count, how the cotton is treated and finished is a key factor in the quality, comfort and feel of the fabric.

Fou organic bed linen is finished to give you a luxurious silky and soft feel to the touch. The products have been rigorously tested for colour fastness, pilling, shrinkage and even seam strength. The extra cost for organic arises from the quality assurance of certification and fair pay which account for only a proportion of the retail price. We have tried to absorb much of that cost to ensure that the organic cotton bedding you buy from Fou Furnishings not only looks and feels luxurious but gives affordable, lasting quality and design.
